Still not working in my Red Hat 7.2...

define command{
        command_name    check_http_closed
        command_line    $USER1$/negate '$USER1$/check_tcp -H $HOSTADDRESS$
-p 81'
        }

Plugin versions are 1.3.0...

negate (nagios-plugins 1.3.0) 1.5
check_tcp (nagios-plugins 1.3.0) 1.13

Thanks anyway,

SMV

Use single quotes:

USER1$/negate '$USER1$/check_tcp -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -p 81'

Actually, the intent was mo quotes were needed at all, but some released
versions do no require POSIX ordering of options, so the above should be
more reliable (since as far as I can tell, not one of you thought to mention
what version you were using)
