Pop Up Alerts

Alternatives to JavaScript:

- e-mail (and let the MUA run an agent to do something unusual)
- pager (tends to get one's attention)
- leverage WinPopup (I tried STFW for the Linux command, as I've used it in
the past, but no luck) if the operators' workstations are running Windows
(and have Messenger service enabled)
- NTray (again, if the operators' workstations are running Windows)

Food for thought.
