No email notifications...

Ok, I setup Nagios yesterday with about 20 hosts and everything worked perfectly. I have added another 15-20 now and I am no longer getting notifications. Nagios is quickly finding when a service or host goes down, but I am not getting any email notifications about it.

In my escalations.cfg, I have:
define hostescalation {
        host_name               *
        contact_groups          it_linux
        first_notification      1
        last_notification       0
        notification_interval   30
}

define serviceescalation {
        host_name               *
        service_description     *
        contact_groups          it_linux
        first_notification      1
        last_notification       0
        notification_interval   30
}

I have also tried :
define hostgroupescalation {
       hostgroup_name              each,of,my,hostgroups,here
       first_notification             1
       last_notification              0
       contact_groups                 it_linux
       notification_interval          30
}

Can anyone offer any help to diagnose this? I want simple notifications -- each one gets sent out (starting on the 1st one), at no more than once/30 minutes. This is to happen for every host and every service.
