Auto RRD setup for Apan

Has anyone come up with a way to generate the RRD datasets automatically 
using Apan? If anyone is familiar with Orca, it reads from a log file and 
creates the RRD for you. Orca then reads from the RRD and generates the 
graphs. 

I'd like to find a way to avoid manually creating the RRD for everything I 
want to graph. I can envison that would take a very long time to do and be 
an ongoing management headache. So, anyone have some automated process to 
create the RRD as needed?
