Check your hosts file for "notification_options". Options are r,u,d for
recovered, unreachable, and down respectively.

remove "u"

Subject: [Nagios-users] supress unreachable messages

Is there anyway to suppress the unreachable messages? Mainly because
I've got everything tied to parents, and if a main one of those were to
go down I'd get tons of pages for hosts that were unreachable, but all I
care about is the one that is down. (I thought the whole point of using
parents).

Thanks,
Dan
