I used gcc software depot (picked from HPUX Porting and archive center), 
gcc v2.95 if I remember well.

To compile nsca, I had to modify 'common/common.h' to define u_int32_t. 
Just after the '#include "config.h" ', i just added a :

	typedef uint32_t u_int32_t;

You also need to compile and install libmcrypt package...
