Checking a RealServer

Hi!

We have Nagios running and we are very happy with it.
Now we are planning to monitor our RealServer, because the Decoder 
inclines to give up sometimes. Although both processes are running they 
stoped working together. Now we want Nagios to inform us in this 
situation. Has anybody an idea how this could work, or is there a PlugIn 
  available.
