The VRML file header not found or unsupported encoding type
File: http://nagios.hollenberg.biz/nagios/cgi-bin/statuswrl.cgi?host=all

This was the error message I got after compiling and installing the last
version of statuswrl.cgi. Does anyone have any ideas?

Cheers,

According to an e-mail that Ethan posted to this list on Oct.22, the fix
for this was just submitted to CVS.

Hi,

Has anyone looked into this statuswrl.cgi dot-related problem? It would
be nice to have that fixed, especially since almost all my hostnames
have dots in them :-) Maybe it's fixed already but I wouldn't know where
to get a new release of this cgi module.

Cheers,

fixed it. the problem was that there were periods in the hostnames.
changed them to underscores and it all works fine now.

used lynx to save the vrml file to source (since IE wont) and opened it
in vi. easy as pie from there

cheers.
