Take a look at CGI.CFG, and see what users you have defined in
authorized_for_*.information.

In the help file you can find the complete information at the
"Configuring authorization for the CGIs" topic.

Assunto: [Nagios-users] Problems with web permissions

Trying to access the below items in the web interface

Network outages
comments
sched downtime
process info
Scheduled Q
Reporting-Event log
Configs-View

I get the dreaded

"It appears as though you do not have permission to view the
configuration information you requested..." "If you believe this is an
error, check the HTTP server authentication requirements for accessing
this CGI and check the authorization options in your CGI configuration
file."

I don't know squat about Apache. I am running 1.3 with RedHat 7.3.
Where do I start?

1st of all I DO get prompted for username and password when accessing
the nagios site.

I do have .htaccess files in the proper directories as per the docs

Am running Nagios as "nagios" in another window for testing. My NsClient
plugin is getting data from my Win2k box and logging it to nagios.

suggestions?
