hello,

maybe a /etc/init.d/nagios test would be a good addition to the init script. 
actually the -v options is used in the existing script but is piped to 
/dev/null.

have you run a verification on your configs?

if everything is default:

/usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios -v /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg


a log will be in /usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.log and perhaps also in your
/var/log/messages

Hi,
I'm trying to run nagios on a Mandrake 8.2/9.0 box.  I have nagios all setup

and ready to go as far as the web interface.  But when the computer starts
and begins to start the daemons, nagios, either starts and then sotp
immidiately or doens't start at all.  I'm not sure what's going on and i
can't find a log for it.
