check_tcp and expect string?

Hello all,

I'm searched the archives and didn't see any of mention of this, so
I'm posting to the list.

I'm using the check_tcp plugin to monitor some PC Anywhere hosts.
I'm trying to use the "-e" option to expect a string from the host, like so:

    ./check_tcp -p 5631 -H pcanywhere-host.com -e "Please" -W 3

However, everytime I receive a "Invalid response from host". The -e
option works successfully with other services, namely OpenSSH and Apache.
If I check without using the -e option, the test passes, however we
need to monitor for the above string to make sure the server is
operating correctly instead of simply listening on a port. Any ideas?

Sean
