i don't think that you can use asterisks in the members directive of
hostgroup definitions.

Someone correct me if i am wrong.

Subject: [Nagios-users] error message "hostgroup has no members"

Hi, All

I've been using Netsaint for a while and now I'm trying to convert to
Nagios 1.06b. I've spent a couple hours staring at this and it's driving
me nuts. when I use the "-v" option for a pre-flight check I get a
message saying "hostgroup has no members". it points to the last entry
in my hostgroups.cfg file. I'm sure I must have a syntax error somewhere
but I'm hoping other, sharper eyes may spot whatever I'm missing here.
I've attached my hostgroups, hosts, and nagios.cfg files. to give you an
idea how strange this is I've re-arranged the order of the entries in my
hostgroups.cfg file and it still points to the last entry whichever one
that happens to be.
HELP!!!!!
