Email messages getting truncated.

Good morning,

No, NSClient cannot grok the event logs. i use BackLogNT as
Gopinath uses NTsyslog. The author of NSClient has had a project going for
months now to get this info but i have seen no updates and am unsure if he
will complete it.

Additionally, for the truncated messages try replacing the sprintf
(at least i think that is what is used) commands and single-quotes in
misccommands with echo -e and double-quotes ala:

	command_line	/bin/echo -e "***** Nagios *****\n\nNotification
Type: $NOTIFICATIONTYPE$\nHost: $HOSTNAME$\nState: $HOSTSTATE$\nAddress:
$HOSTADDRESS$\nInfo: $OUTPUT$\n\nDate/Time: $DATETIME$\n" | /bin/mail -s
'Host $HOSTSTATE$ alert for $HOSTNAME$!' $CONTACTEMAIL$
	}

hope this helps,
dean

I am not sure if NSClient could do that. That's why we are using the
NTSyslog to send in the alerts to a syslog server. If NSClient could do this
it would be great, no need to duplicate the logs on 2 servers!

Interesting. Always great to have options.

Does NSClient have a way to grok the NT alerts and report on them?
