Command file persmissions

Hello,

I've configured Nagios 1.0b6, and lots of things seems to work fine.
On each restart of Nagios, the command file located in
/usr/local/nagios/var/rw/nagios.cmd have permissions changed to :

prw-rw----    1 nagios   nagios          0 nov 15 09:19 nagios.cmd

Then each request I made fails to a :

Error: Could not open command file '/usr/local/nagios/var/rw/nagios.cmd'
for update!

If I change the permission to RWRWRW, I'm able to run commands...
Is there some modifications to my configuration ?
I didn't find any information on this trouble.
