text pagers

What about cell phones with email addresses for text paging? We use Nextel
phones, and wanted to use qpage to send pages directly when we have an
Internet outage.
Anyone working with this kind of environment? Does Nextel have a TAP system
the we can dial into?

Yup.  I use qpage for the paging software, with Airtouch
pagers.  All you need is their TAP number, and you're good
to go.
