You need to define your hostname in sendmail.cf on the monitoring machine. I believe it is the Dj macro but please rtfm to be sure.

Subject: [Nagios-users] Sendmail Email Unable to send... do not know where to change this

Here is the bounce back that I am getting. I assume it is because the
Domain for the email address is Monitor (which is the machine name). In the
NAGIOS.CFG I have set the Administrator Email address to
"vance.duke at imaginuity.com".

This error I am getting when trying to send mail from within Sendmail, and
this is the bounce back.

I do not know if this a Nagios issue or a Sendmail issue, and any help would
be appreciated.

Thanks,
Vance Duke
