Ah, now I see.

It looks like another bad merge. A bunch of the changes
that were supposed to be included in
https://github.com/naemon/naemon-livestatus/commit/a44772c48947e8314251f7a90f456054c6bc00e5
aren't. Instead, we're left with parts of the stuff from the old build
system.

I'll put a patch together and send a PR on github.
