Thank you very much Ton!  I appreciate you taking the time to reply.  I
have done as you suggested and have attached an updated patch; this
patch includes the original change as well as an update to minimal.cfg
and objects.precache.expected; this configuration will fail with a
nagios binary compiled before the xodtemplate.c patch was applied, but
succeed with a binary compiled with the patch applied.  Any further
suggestions/requests that would help with acceptance of the patch are
welcomed!
