Using rpmforge is a no-go.
I once tried and added it for installing some package and when
issueing an "yum update" several days later, my system got flooded
with package updates from rpmforge, overwriting native RHEL
packages, since rpmforge hosts a lot of packages that are part
of the base distribution - but they are much more up-to-date
then the stable RHEL distribution. We pay $$$ for RHEL support
as we use it as certified base for our major oracle servers.
Massive third-party packages overwriting base packages is not
acceptable for us - and I guess for many others too.
