object naming best practice

Hi

often new nagios users confuse object types. Especially if those new
useres blindly use the provided sample config or the provided by
packages (.deb, .rpm).
One thing which leads to this is that object names do not tell anything
about the type. Another is that "check_" as prefix to checkcommands
makes people think theses are actual checks .. which would be services
in nagios.

So what i do and what i would like to see in sample configs is a
consistent way of prefixing object names. Here is a proposal for prefixes:

Services			s_
Service Groups			sg_
Hosts				h_
Host Groups			hg_
Contacts			c_
Contact Groups			cg_
Commands			cc_
Time Periods			tp_
Service Escalations		se_
Service Dependencies		sd_
Host Escalations		he_
Host Dependencies		hd_
Extended Host Information	eh_
Extended Service Information 	es_
