NDOutils and hosts/services templates

As far as I could tell ndoutils/ndo2db does not make an
entry into the appropriate hosts table of any defined host or services 
tamplate
(ie register=0). As a matter of fact there is no register attribute in 
the hosts table.
Any reason why this is so?
