macros in serviceextinfo?

Has anyone thought of adding macro support in service / host extinfo? For
example, if one has a very large hostgroup and wants to set up a link to a
graph about it's disk space, it is rather unwieldy to write a extinfo
entry for each host. Ideally one could just use the hostgroup_name entry
and put $HOSTNAME$ in the notes-URL field of a service info entry. Would
such a thing be difficult to implement?

Thanks,
