For 2.0 could we try to add more information into the archived logs to 
easy the reporting pains...

options:
1. on rotate - include current status of all hosts/services

2. config option to log all host/service results 
(Netsaint's old "log_level" option)


It would provide complete status info from the start of each log period 
without having to assume initial state.

Option 2 while possibly disk I/O intensive for files would be the 
preferred alternative.  It might even be a client of the event daemon...
